Mr. Altenberg has spent almost 30 years building, financing and investing in renewable energy and financial services companies. These insights led to founding Clean Energy Nexus PR in 2021 a solar C&I development and investment platform aimed at propelling the Puerto Rico energy industry forward. Prior to CEN PR, Mr. Altenberg also founded Element Markets’ Development group and led the company from a 2 person team to a 90+ person organization and exited the company with sale of the Development Group to a large utility. As head of the Renewable Development Group he focused on wind, solar, methane capture, biomass and other utility scale renewable energy solutions. Joaquin has worked with notable companies in a principal finance role such as Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and Lazard Freres.
He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas and a MBA from Harvard Business School. He also enjoys traveling and sharing the world with his 4 children, mentoring young businesses, surfing and practicing mixed martial arts.

Shawn Miller is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector, bringing over 12 years of experience in leading large-scale solar projects with precision and enthusiasm. A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Shawn blends military discipline with a passion for advancing clean energy initiatives. When he’s not driving projects to successful completion, Shawn enjoys hunting, fishing, and trail/mud riding. His two daughters and three grandchildren keep him young at heart, reminding him that at the end of the day, family always comes first. Balancing the demands of his career with the joy of family life, Shawn is as dedicated to his loved ones as he is to the future of renewable energy.

Outside of work, Wendy infuses her life with creativity and joy. A passionate Pokémon Go player and skilled bass fisherman, she enjoys weekends on Texas lakes and participating in online fishing tournaments with her family gaming group. She cherishes time spent with her two adult sons and granddaughter. Wendy’s approach to life blends professionalism with a touch of fun, making her a pleasure to work with.
